CAJAMAR, São Paulo, Brazil — On Friday, July 5th, LFA hosted the weigh-in for LFA 187: Brazil vs. Latin America from the Ibis Budget Tamboré in Barueri, São Paulo, Brazil. LFA 187 will feature a team challenge pitting top fighters from Brazil against top fighters from five of its neighboring countries in Latin America. In the main event, former LFA welterweight champion Carlos “The Lion” Leal (20-5) of Team Brazil will battle regional standout Manuel Mena (12-3) of Team Latin America in a showdown between welterweight kingpins.
LFA 187 will feature veteran MMA commentator Ron Kruck, who will be joined in the booth by top-ranked UFC star Caio “The Natural” Borralho. The Brazilian-Portuguese commentary team will consist of Brazilian MMA analyst Max Soares, who will work alongside UFC star and former LFA interim light-heavyweight champion Rodolfo “Trator” Bellato. They will call the action live inside the Ginásio do Polvilho in Cajamar, São Paulo, Brazil. The main card will be available tomorrow night LIVE on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
Manuel Mena and Marcos Degli failed to make their contracted weight when they stepped on the scale. They will now forfeit a portion of their purses to their opponents. LFA 187 will proceed with fifteen bouts, which includes the welterweight showdown at the top of the card.

About GINÁSIO DO POLVILHO:
The Municipality of Cajamar, through the Department of Public Works and Services, coordinated the complete renovation of the entire structure of the Polvilho Gym. Maintenance and repairs were carried out in the entire infrastructure of the gym with new coverage, increase in the dimensions of the court, painting, accessibility to bathrooms, access ramp, installation of a new electronic scoreboard, new hydraulic basketball tables, renovation and installation of LED lighting in the entire indoor and outdoor area of the gym.
